CARE LEAVER OFFER
Carefree Cornwall has a wide range of partnerships, including with the Local Authority, the Learning Partnership, Careers South West and other charitable funders. We can deliver bespoke support to care experienced people of 15 and above who are not in education, employment or training or are at risk of being so.
We can work with young people through adolescence to enable them to develop resilience. Helping them cultivate the confidence and self-awareness to manage the challenges of adulthood.
We support care leavers to develop their independent living skills through challenges such as cooking and using public transport. And deliver fun activities to enable them to better manage their physical, emotional, sexual health and relationships
We will deliver this support in a range of ways:
In 2018 we aim support between 30-45 young people in this way and help make Cornwall's return on young people in positive post-16 activity 76%.
Care Leavers can attend evening groups and join in with a variety of activities, have fun, support each other and share their ideas and have their voices heard by professionals and other adults working with them
