We run 5 day activity programmes during the summer and easter holidays, making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

Do you already come to Carefree activities?
Do you want to improve children's social work services?
Are interested in meeting with other young people in care to talk about how improvements can be made, get involved with interviewing new staff, or helping to train social workers & foster carers?
We need you!!! Get in touch to find out more.
We have informal groups meeting in St Austell and Redruth and can help with transport.  We also get involved in lots of other activities that help the voices of young people be heard.

NEW ~ Care Leavers Activity Sessions

These new evening sessions held on Thursday evenings in Wadebridge


The group have decided to meet to:

  • Socialise
  • Get Care Leavers voices heard
  • Learn new skills like budgetting & cooking
  • Do activities & have fun

In future

the group are planning beach sessions including  BBQ's, DJing workshops & to start a community cinema project


If you are 16+ either Staying Put, living in Open Door or Independently this group is for you.

Carefree Summer 

Activity weeks, sports, arts & more...

This summer young people have been supported by Youth Leaders & the Carefree team in a variety of activities at centres across the county, doing outdoor, sports leader award & creative activities.


Young people have completed transport & cooking challenges, visited the theatre at The Lost Garden's of Heligan & Penlee Gardens, attended beaches to surf, camped in the woods, played sports,made music & art & generally had lots of fun.


Our Care Leavers have been to the Woodland Valley & spent three days & two nights in the woods.
