Outdoor Carefree

You don't have to be sporty to enjoy being outdoors with Carefree

'Original' summer programmes are for 11-17 years old who have never attended before; they are led by trained Peer Mentors & Sports Leaders (15+ years old) & are based at BF Adventure & other outdoor education centres across Cornwall

You get a chance to canoe, rock climb, join in with team games and challenges including our ' Public Transport' and 'Meal' Challenges all of which are fun and help you to grow in confidence & to develop independence skills

We group young people by age & arrange for Peer Mentors and a worker to visit to explain what to expect & 'Befriend' you so that you will know at least two people on your first day

We offer other sports activities all year round, once you have been to an 'original' programme you can join in with these

We have offered many outdoor activities such as running, swimming, fishing, Duke of Edinburgh, fencing, sailing, environmental volunteering - keep a look out on our What's New page for details

"I've made loads of new friends, I took part in stuff I've never done before, it's fun trying something new. I would like to take part in something like this again as I build more confidence, teamwork and experience"
