Carefree Conference was a smash!

Thank you to all the young people, foster carers, social workers, youth workers, other professionals & individuals who attended our Conference on Friday November 6th 2015

It was a day full of information & creative youth work activities which started by delegates making their own badges & was interspersed with making a jigsaw, building spaghetti towers and stacking cups in a venue that was decorated with creative work produced by groups attending Carefree over the last ten years

We would like to extend a special thank you to the twenty young people, you know who you are, who:

  • Presented an amazing film they are developing about their lives in care which produced such an emotional reaction in all who saw it
  • Spoke about the work of the peer mentors over the last last ten years
  • Made the delicious lunch & ensured there was always enough to eat & drink
  • Took questions from the floor & spoke with such clarity to the audience

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our speakers who presented informative ideas in a creative, fun, lively & dramatic way that set the emotional tone of the event; special thanks to Jo Davies, James McGurk,  Jack Cordery, Mari Eggins supported by Sally & Kyla
